SLM printed metal framework for ArtyCad PFM crowns

PFM (SLM) with printed metal substructure

Our PFM workflow uses SLM printed metal instead of a conventional cast framework. It gives the restoration a more accurate fit and is useful when a case needs stronger support, longer-span planning, or a metal framework where zirconia may not be the safest choice.

  • Printed metal framework for improved support and fit.
  • Layered porcelain over the SLM metal structure.
  • Helpful for longer spans or cases with higher support demands.

Metal substructure

SLM printed metal gives the porcelain a digitally planned substructure.

Porcelain finish

The visible surface is layered and finished to match the prescription.

Familiar workflow

Useful when a case needs a metal substructure rather than a fully zirconia approach.
